  7. Paparazzi! requires QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1.41 or higher.
  8. If you have an older version of QuickTime installed then 
  9. you're not done yet! Just follow these simple installation 
  10. instructions, which are listed in the manual, too.

  12. INSTALLING QUICKTIME USING WINDOWS 3.1
  13. --------------------------------------
  14. Insert DISC ONE into your CD-ROM drive.  We will assume this is
  15. your D drive.  In Windows, drag down the FILE menu and select 
  16. RUN.  Then click the BROWSE button.  Under the DRIVES section, 
  17. go to drive D or the drive that represents your CD-ROM.  Open the
  18. \QTW folder by double-clicking on it.  Now double-click on SETUP.EXE
  19. and click the OK button.  Select LOCAL and click on CONTINUE.  This
  20. installer will automatically install QuickTime 2.0.1.41 and ask if you
  21. want to erase any obsolete versions of QuickTime. If you do have an
  22. older version, click REMOVE to erase it.  Follow the on-screen
  23. instructions to complete the installation.

  25. INSTALLING QUICKTIME USING WINDOWS 95
  26. -------------------------------------
  27. Insert DISC ONE into your CD-ROM drive.  We will assume this is
  28. your D drive.  Click the START menu button and then click on RUN.
  29. Then click the BROWSE button.  Find and double click on your D drive
  30. or the letter which represents your CD-ROM drive.  Open the QTW folder
  31. by double-clicking on it.  Now double-click on the SETUP program and
  32. click OK.  Select LOCAL and click CONTINUE.  Now follow the on-screen
  33. instructions to complete the installation.

  36. TIPS AND TROUBLESHOOTING FOR PAPARAZZI!
  37. =======================================
  38. 1) Paparazzi! is video intensive and needs at least 4MB of
  39.    free extended memory to run. If you are running low on free
  40.    memory, the sound is the first thing to cut out. Make sure
  41.    and quit all other applications, and remove all unnecessary
  42.    drivers from CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT. Consult your Windows 
  43.    and memory management manuals for more on how to 
  44.    free up memory for Windows.

  46. 2) Make sure that the "Read Only" attribute is turned OFF on all
  47.    Paparazzi files on your hard drive. To do this in Windows,
  48.    select all visible files in the \MUSE_PC directory.  Now press
  49.    "ALT+ENTER".  Click on the box marked "Read Only" until it is
  50.    completely empty.  To do it from DOS, type ATTRIB *.* -R in the 
  51.    C:\MUSE_PC directory.

  53. 3) If you are experiencing QuickTime and sound sync problems,
  54.    try going into DOS and typing CD\WINDOWS. Then type EDIT QTW.INI
  55.    and press ENTER.  Right under the last line of instructions, 
  56.    type: CDROMReqRate=22095 and then directly under that type: 
  57.    CDROMActRate=22536.  Save the setting and return to Windows.
